Hello,
Last time I've used twinmotion was a few days ago when I've installed new 2023 version to check it out and everything was working correctly. Today I've encountered a problem, every file I try to open has current version labeled as "None" and after converting the file is empty and saving it doesn't change anything, still empty.
It's the case for every file i have on my computer, I've tried to transfer file to another PC but the version is still "None". On the 2023 version I don't even have a conversion option, it says that I have to install older version of Twin first and save it there.
Does anyone encountered this problem before? If so how did you fixed it, it's hours of work for my uni wasted because of weird error.
Kind regards.
I have the same problem. I am using TM version 2022.1.2, when I open a file created with an older version, it asks me to convert but nothing was given after the conversion. Hope someone can help.
Hello ,
Thank you for posting in the community about this issue. I am not sure what could exactly be happening without further testing some of the files causing theses problems and recommend you report a bug so we can properly investigate. https://twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/case-community-page
Here is what you should be seeing when opening older files:
It is important to remember that when working with any newer version and it is not possible to again open it in any previous version since it says None and will try to convert but nothing will happen. Thus it is important to save a copy when working with different Twinmotion versions.
If you are working with multiple versions it is best to use shortcuts or the epic games launcher to open the right Twinmotion version, then opening the Twinmotion scene from the File > Open menu.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Vincent B.
It happened to me too, I saved the project in the 2023.1.2 version and then I wanted to open it on other pc in the 2023.1.2 version too and it gives me that error. I’m stressed because I need that file
