Ffabien - Camera Looks: 11 One-Click Stylised Post-Process Looks

Turn any camera or the whole level into watercolour, anime, painterly, toon, comic, pencil, ink lines, pixel art, film, retro VHS or underwater, in one click. Mix the looks with a slider each, in the viewport, in Sequencer and in Movie Render Queue.

Want a stylised render without writing post-process materials? Camera Looks gives you 11 ready-made looks, each with its own strength slider.

The looks

  • Painterly (Kuwahara): flat brush strokes that keep edges sharp.

  • Watercolour: washed colours, darker pigment at the edges, paper grain.

  • Anime: painterly colours, soft ink lines, warm saturated grade.

  • Toon: light in a few flat bands, with outlines.

  • Comic halftone: printed dots in the shadows, bold outlines.

  • Pencil sketch: graphite strokes and hatching on paper.

  • Ink lines: dark outlines on silhouettes and creases.

  • Pixel art: big pixels and a reduced palette.

  • Film: grain, vignette and red halation around highlights.

  • Retro VHS: colour bleeding, scanlines, tape noise.

  • Underwater: physically based water.

    • Red is absorbed first (pure-water coefficients).

    • Blue-green murk thickens with distance.

    • Waves, caustics and light shafts from the surface.

Simple to use

  1. Click Looks in the toolbar.

  2. Select cameras to style them, or nothing to style the whole level.

  3. Move the sliders.

Mix them. Looks stack, for example 30 % Film over 80 % Watercolour. Each camera keeps its own mix, so every shot of a sequence can have its own style.

Works everywhere: editor viewport, piloted cameras (letterboxed or not), Sequencer and Movie Render Queue. Each look has its own settings in its material instance: line width, brush radius, number of bands, pixel size, grain, water depth and turbidity, and more.

Safe on your project: the level look lives in the plugin's own post-process volume, in a "CameraLooks" folder. Your post-process volumes are never changed.

  • Important notes:

    • The looks are post-process materials applied through standard post-process settings (cameras or a post-process volume).

    • Packaged games keep them without the editor module.

    • Post-process cost depends on the look: Painterly and Anime (Kuwahara) are the heaviest.
