Feeling cold

Hello
This is my first thread here so i am not sure if this is right area. Feel free to move this if needed.
But…
Can somebody help me making this feeling cold. Like i have winter survival game is it possible to make like player gets cold while walking outside and if he goes inside he gets warmer. And if you are too long outside your health will drain and at certain time it will go to 0 and you will die.

Use a int or float variable to hold the coldness. Create trigger volumes in your level where there are inside areas. in the playerpawn create a function and say if self is in these volume add to the coldness value, if not subtract, if 0 kill.
