I have been trying to update the email address for my Hyperwallet and Tax Profile so that it matches my current Epic Games account. When I reached out to Support, I was advised to simply retake the Tax Interview to make this change.
However, when I go through the tax information process and try to enter my new email at the end, the system always gives an error. It specifically states that the email “must match the email address linked to the account that you used during the on-boarding process.” Because of this, it completely blocks my current email and will only let me successfully submit the form if I enter the old email that I originally used when setting up the account.
It would be great if this system could be improved in the future to allow creators to update their email addresses across Hyperwallet and tax forms seamlessly, without getting locked into their original onboarding email and running into this error.
