Hello There!
I’m writing this post on behalf of a large group of UEFN island creators who had the honor of being selected by Epic Games to be featured in the “Star Wars Standouts” section in Discover during May.
First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the Epic Games team. Being selected for this tab was an incredible milestone for all of us, it was a dream come true.
However, we want to share the widespread frustration and deep concern that many of us creators currently share following the sudden removal of this Tab. For weeks, we saw our islands achieve excellent visibility, servers were constantly filled with players having a blast every day, and as creators, we received the visibility, community love and support and revenue needed to keep investing our time and resources into developing top-tier experiences within the platform.
Since the tab was removed from Discover, we have all experienced a drastic, massive, and simultaneous drop in player count. Maps that were once full of life became empty overnight simply due to the lack of a dedicated category that groups this highly demanded content.
We firmly believe that keeping this section active—or enabling a permanent space for high-quality thematic experiences—is a win-win strategy for the entire ecosystem:
- For Creators: It provides the fair visibility and resources we need to keep committing 100% to the UEFN ecosystem.
- For Epic Games and the IP (Star Wars): It maximizes the long-term value of the collaboration, keeping the community’s interest alive well beyond the main event dates.
- For Players: It allows them to quickly find polished, high-quality content with active servers to jump into right away.
Because of this, we respectfully ask the development team to reconsider bringing this Tab back. There is so much talent in this community and a huge audience that wants to keep playing these experiences, but we need the Discover UI to keep supporting us.
Thank you very much for your time, for listening to our feedback, and for your continuous support of the creator community ![]()
