FEEDBACK - Home panel improvements

When I start UE5.7 it opens Home panel in full screen. While it’s starting up, I’m on my web browser which takes half of my screen. Once Home panel is fully loaded I click on the Home panel to bring it into focus, but instead what happens is that Unreal Engine creates and starts loading “Introduction to Unreal Engine” which infuriates me.

I now have to sit there and WAIT for UE to create and load the project that I did not ask it to do ! Then I have to go to my projects folder and DELETE the unwanted project.

EDIT: It turns out I don’t have to delete the project because it’s not there, which begs the question, if it’s not in the custom projects folder where I usually put my projects, where is it ?

EDIT2: It’s under documents > Unreal projects. Ok this is another issue that I have to bring up, why not prompt us for install location like when creating other projects ?

So we have 2 issues now:

  1. Home panel not prompting for confirmation before creating and loading a project.
  2. Projects like “Introduction to Unreal Engine” do not prompt for install location, instead it creates the project in default location which I do not like. I have my own structure for organizational purpose and default location is NOT desired.

How did no one from UX team catch this ?
