- One serius problem with the algorithm is that is based alot on the retention from the begining and thats not bad… but many islands when they getting published is hard for them to maintain a good amount of players just from the begining…

It would be good and it would help the Games alot… if the first 10 days of a release of a Game to not count the retention but only the CCU players and the Play Time.

That way the Mejority of the Maps that will fight for a spot in Discovery they will be the good and quality Maps, cause is hard for a bad Game/Experience to keep high CCU and high Play Time.

That would help also in those 10 days for the Map to be seen from many more players and if is good to keep a good retention.

- Another thing that would be Great and it would help alot the Games and the whole ecosystem in discovery it would be to not count the Retention at all of some Game categories… Let me Explain.

There are many Games out there builded as a one time experiences, Games such the Escape Rooms , Adventure games, Exploration Games and more… those kind of games and more are builded as a one time experience and most of them are verry well made… but they dont do well in discovery due to the algorithm that counts alot on retention.

So you could make it that the algorithm on those categories and some others to not count their Retention at all.

Here what good this will do in those Games and Discovery.
- It would create healthy antagonism ( cause without retention as a metric there will be no
scamy tactics to get the players stay or play your game more, cause those games will be
based on CCU and PlayTime ). - The highest quality of those Games will be seen.
- This will bring on the scene alot of New Variety of Games and a new air to Discovery.
- Also a verry important thing is that having some of those Game categorys not rely on
the Retention, it will split creators to more Variety categorys ( and not only combat maps
) and will bring a healthier antagonism ( cause it will be less scamy tactics and more
innovation Games made ).
