I just spent an hour rearranging BP nodes and pulling my hair trying to figure out why an event wasn’t firing, only to finally notice that “Simulation Generates Hit Events” wasn’t checked. I swear I’m not an idiot (or at least not enough to require government support), and I use BP all day at work, yet I STILL forget check-boxes like these from time to time.
Ideally: when I create an On-Hit Event for a component which doesn’t have that box checked it should pop up a notification. This should be opt-in/out in the settings for people with better memories than myself who could find this feature annoying. It would be great to have this happen for On-overlap and On-wake events too. Could be an auto-expanded tool tip instead of a pop-up too.
