[Feature Request] Import more Vertex color maps

Hi,

I have looked around on the forums, reddit etc and this question has come up in a few places over the years but nothing has really been done about it.

I didn’t know until recently that unreal only imports 1 Vertex color map for FBX imports which is kinda crazy when you can import i think 8 UV maps without issue.

I know that folks have found ways to get around this limit by packing the color data into multiple uv maps and such but i wanted to ask why is there such a limit?

Vertex colors are incredibly useful and intuitive for a bunch of different tasks especially when it comes to creating materials and needing masks for certain tasks.

Yes i know we could use a uv map and a texture lookup to get color ids/masks into materials but that is wasted memory, disk space and a lookup when the exact same data could be baked into the vertices themselves.

Would you guys please consider adding this feature?
