It’s nearly impossible to use Instanced static meshes en masse (the whole reason it exists) as you can’t tell which instance in the scene is which instance in the Instances array.
Below, you’ll see that I’ve selected an instance of my light static mesh. I’d like to duplicate it at it’s current location and move it. However, I have no way of knowing which instance i’ve selected short of opening the entire transform stack, move the model, and see which transform changes.
