The Day Sequence Device, the newer version of the Skydome Device, is not available for use in Verse. The old Skydome Device itself is, however, useable in Verse despite the fact that it is no longer available for use in new projects and must be copied over from older projects.
Defining the Day Sequence Device as a skydome_device (and attempting to assign it to a Verse device) yields an error stating that the Day Sequence Device is incompatible.
This means that the Day Sequence Device is considered separate from the Skydome Device, but the Day Sequence Device is not available to use in Verse.
