[FEATURE REQUEST] Epic Games Launcher Feature Request

Hi Everyone,
There are two features that I really want to see in Epic Games Launcher these days.

  1. In Unreal Engine → Library section (Fab Library) if there is an update for a FAB asset that I purchased, I have a hard time finding it. An icon appears on the Library tab at the top indicating that there is an update, but it is very difficult to find which asset. It would be good if there was a filter for this.

  2. Again, in the same section, the assets that I purchased or added should be able to be grouped using Tags or special categories. It was done on Fab.com and it is nice (that should be improved too). I think a similar feature is desperately needed in Launcher. As the number of assets increases, working here becomes inefficient.

Best Regards,
Fatih

One year and several updates later, and the lack of these two features is still the most annoying aspect of the Epic Launcher. It’d be really nice if these could be added to the roadmap as soon as practicable. We don’t need anything too fancy:

  • Cached assets with available updates should be bumped at the top of the Fab Library list, or given a checkbox to filter anything else out.
  • Filters from the web version of Fab, which have matured so well over the last year, should be replicated into the launcher version. Currently types and styles are mixed together in a single filter list that is not searchable (you need to scroll all the way through to find your keywords).

I see there is still an unresolved bug that has been reported, where the launcher will endlessly prompt updates for cached assets, even if they are already up to date (or updates keep failing, difficult to say). So, I’d imagine that needs to take precedence. But the two features above would really simplify and expedite workflow.

Thank you for your hard work!
