[Feature Request] A few quality of life improvements

Separate Vault from Library

I think it would be a great idea to have the Vault in its own space where it can be managed more easily. Including the settings for where the data is stored, moving that data around or removing it for older engine versions no longer installed.

Tiles / List Hybrid View in Content Browser

An option so that we can have Tiles with the Text on the side so that longer names arnt wrapped as much, this can lead to people trying to use methods to shorten asset names. Basically just List view but with multiple columns like Tiled view has.

Blueprint Zooming beyond 1:1

Minor detail and might even be accessible through config files but this really needs to be modified by default so we can zoom in alittle bit further. This would help instances when streaming, rather than having to use odd resolutions to make it legible. Also helps accessibility in general because there arnt text scaling options.

Favourites for Create New Asset on RMB

Rather than having a huge list of all possible assets Developers could define their own settings to more rapidly create new assets. The Add button could still give the full list while the RMB is more concise also allowing people to get to import more quickly when using the slide out Content Browser on the bottom of the screen.

Asset Editor Flyouts

Like the main editor window asset editors could have fly out menus, as an example the Components, Details and My Blueprint tabs could function similarly to the Content Browser or other tabs when docked on the side. I feel like this would help focus the main view and give more real estate to the main tabs.

Pin Main Tabs

I constantly find my Level Tab shifting around, I feel like this core tab should be the first one so either locking it there or having a pin tab feature. I think the pin tabs allows for more future proofing as multiple levels (or no levels) loaded might be possible in the future.

Scalable Class Selection

This has become more of an issue lately because there are more asset types by default and projects of increasing complexity add more to the hierarches. Sizing these boxes so more classes can be displayed is very important, first example is creating a new Data Asset, second is creating a new Blueprint.
Scalable

Its a shame many people have given up on Epic ever doing something to improve the Launcher, the forum updates were amazing and I’d hoped that it wouldnt be long before we saw an update. Steam keeps surging ahead leaving EGS further and further behind, its a common joke amongst gamers that no one would use the store if it wernt for the free games…

For developers using UE who have been subjected to it much longer the time it takes to do a full engine rebuild is worth it just to avoid the Launcher almost entirely! This list is just my pie in the sky but I appreciate you if you are taking this list seriously.

Add existing UE Installs

The Launcher/Installer does have the ability to sense installs but it insists on the directory being empty. You can trick the Launcher by hitting Install then copy/pasting the UE version and restarting the Launcher to get it to detect existing files but this should be by default.

Infact the best solution would be similar to Steam Libraries where you can add an entire directory like Unreal Engine and all the subfolders for UE versions could be auto-sensed.
