FBX import workflow is impeded by material conflicts dialogue

When working with an imported FBX file, I think it is normal that you might change materials. When importing an updated version of the FBX, Unreal informs about material conflicts, which is fine.
However, the problem is that for each conflict, it takes 30-60 seconds (on i9 11900) of processing in between, even for simple files. This means that I have to be present all the time to make a decision on how to handle the conflict, and then sit and wait for another minute.
Better would be to only show this dialogue at the very end. This is highly frustrating.

EDIT: It seems to show up for EVERY OBJECT! This makes the whole workflow a complete NO GO.
