FBX Import removes overlapping vertices even when told not to

Hi all,

I’m trying to import simple mesh from fbx.
It have a lot of overlapping vertices on purpose (as it uses blend shapes) but even when I check ‘Keep Overlapping Vertices’ option in the import the result is exactly the same, many vertices are removed and part of mesh lost.
I checked the fbx file with Unity and it is fine, so it is all about import options.

Did anyone had that problem before?

I think it was fbx version. 2016 seems to cause the problem. 2014/15 is fine
