FBX import error

I’m trying to import my FBX file the way many people have described (ticking the import textures boxes etc and keeping the materials in the same folder as the FBX file). Still no luck.

How do i manually assign my textures/materials to the object using the material editor once the FBX is imported? I can see the connectors but no textures within them.

I have NEVER had any joy importing FBX files. I have heard it’s possible, but UE always seems to make a mess of just about everything.

You have to find the textures and make the material yourself, then apply it to the mesh.

[ Right click in content browser and choose ‘new material’, then drag the textures in and connect them to the right nodes… ]
