I’m a complete noob to Unreal engine and 3d animation. I had a character made on Fiverr and the face is all white when I import my fbx file.
You have to make the materials separately and apply them to the character.
I’ve only been on Unreal for a few days. I’m a complete noob. I paid to have this character made. How do I do that?
It’s too much to explain in one on go, I’m afraid.
How much would you charge me to fix it?
You don’t need that, I think
The most basic material you can make is the albedo plugged into the color pin
that will be enough to get you started. And you can check that the UV mapping is correct.
The next step up is normals, and perhaps other textures. It really depends how complex the material was in the art package.
Hey there @Superhero1008! Welcome to the community! Clockwork’s example is how you’ll make a simple material with your texture on it, then you must put that material on the character. If there’s any issues after that, I can help you get your bearings better. In the meantime here’s a video series learning about materials in Unreal:
How much will you charge me to fix it? I really need to get this done and the animator how made it doesn’t use unreal engine he doesn’t know how to fix it.
