I’ve been struggling to find a solution for over a week now in regard to getting an animation to work properly in a sequencer device inside UEFN… I’m going crazy.
I started by building a crawling animation in a sequencer device using a rigged character device. Animation looked good, so I baked it and exported it as an FBX file into my UEFN project. My goal is to attach that FBX file to additional sequencer devices so I can reuse the crawling animation in additional scenes.
When I create a new sequencer device, I repeat my steps. I add the character device and attach the fbx animation with the + track and it animates. Good. The problem is MOVING the character. If I attach the transform track, key location A, and move the character to location B, nothing happens. The character just animates in place.
Used AI assistant and learned maybe I should be using the NPC spawner. Try it and there’s no difference.
Try it as every version of NPC spawner (passable/spawnable/etc) with and without character definition and with and without sequencer modifiers attached. No difference.
Can anyone help me with this? I saw a tutorial on this site that had exactly what I was trying to do with a character animating with a balarina spin and travelling across the screen. I followed it what I feel perfectly and still have had the same issues…
