fbx animations and player movement via blueprints

Hello everyone

I have a character I’d like to start testing with, but I’m stuck at square 1

I went through the side scroller blueprints project trying to reverse engineer how it was put together, but it seems like there are bits and pieces all over that are somehow linked to one another

Does anyone have any advice on where I should start? are kismet tuts enough to get me what i need? its a typical character with typical animations, I want him to behave just like the blue guy does in the side scroller, but with my own character/anims
