Favorite button removed from profile creator

After the update of yesterday they removed favorite creator button (this was expected for the 25th of june), i have monitored big creators follower count from yesterday to today, before the change they was getting 1-2k daily into week and on weekends from 4 to 5k, yesterday they did 150-200 followers. This is so unfair for new creators that are joining into the ecosystem, at this point or you guys need to reset all the followers to all the creators and start from 0 or you guys need to bring back favorite creator button. The update of yesterday was really good for uefn, but abt favorites, this is a HUGE Mistake.

This creates a toxic and unfair ecosystem. The big creators get to keep their massive, pre-farmed audience advantages forever, while new and upcoming creators are left with absolutely no viable way to catch up or get discovered. Everyone who didn’t exploit the button early is now left out in the cold.

If you want a healthy and fair ecosystem, you need to level the playing field. You have two options to fix this injustice:

  1. Reset follower counts for ALL creators back to zero so everyone starts fresh under the new rules.

  2. Bring back the Favorite Creator button so new creators actually have a fair chance to build an audience.

As it stands, this change simply locks in the monopoly of old creators and punishes new talent.

We understand Epic’s goal with the v41 update — you want to create a consistent UI across the Fortnite ecosystem and prevent aggressive, intrusive placement of the “Developer Profile” device within islands. In theory, making it standardized sounds fair.

However, in practice, this change completely destroys audience growth for new and mid-sized creators.

Building an audience is one of the most critical aspects of survival in the UEFN ecosystem. Shifting the follow feature exclusively to the “Exit sidebar flow” drastically reduces follow conversion rates. This happens because the exit screen relies on a UI layer that players click through on pure muscle memory just to leave the match. The vast majority of players simply ignore it.

By removing the interactive button from the island gameplay space itself, you didn’t create a fair environment — you effectively locked the ecosystem. Top creators who have already accumulated millions of followers via the old device get to keep their massive, permanent advantage in algorithms and discoverability. Meanwhile, new and upcoming creators are now forced to rely entirely on a menu option, making it nearly impossible to bridge the gap or build a sustainable player base from scratch.

Right now, this update simply punishes new talent, restricts organic growth, and secures a permanent monopoly for established giants.

I agree this is unfair for all smaller creators. Also you told us it would be removed on the 25th and it appears it is already removed. I just checked one of our games and it is not working.

This creates new gap between small and new creators just because of old popular creators have gained their followers by this button, meanwhile new and small creators do not have such option now. Again we are in situation where huge creators are in big advantage without any competition, because nine like they did will gain such amount of followers in same period of time as they did
