Fatal error changing music stinger in PrimalGameData_BP (245.9)

Hi all,

Tentatively re-visiting the devkit… but hit this crash. Yes, I’ve unzipped the diff and editor updates and have been able to edit blueprints/scripts and play the small maps island within the editor.

The error happens when clicking on Combat Music Day … to change it. The list of resources appears for about 1 second… then a crash:

Anyone else getting this… or just lucky me?

Thanks Mezzow… at least I know the issue is limited to me. Oddly enough I’ve never had this kind of issue before.

For those interested, I did a verify and tried the old dev kit… same issue. Then I overwrote again with the latest diff and devkit updates for 245… same issue.
It seems to crash when clicking on a dropmenu to choose a sound asset… some dropdowns work, some don’t.

did u save it before u hit the sound menu i know i had a issue like this along time ago and saving it before i hit the drop down menu did the trick

Even when a start it… go straight into PrimalGameData_BP… or even the PrimalGameData_BP_GenericMod… no changes… clicking the dropdown to view the options populates the list for about 1 second… then crash.

how much ram do u have ?

32Gb DDR. I can actually cook and build mods fine, and load full maps like the Center.

It seems to be very specific to dropdown menu Content Browser pops for sound in a few blueprints only, like PrimalGameData, the parent of it, and the Generic Mod equivalent.

If the crash debug wasn’t so useless I’d probably figure it out… unfortunately there is very little to associate and I’ve tried every Unreal fix out there for similar issues.

Anyway, I was just thinking about rebooting my realism mod… but devkit instability was the reason I stopped modding in the first place… so this initial issue is a good warning sign to save me time and frustration!

yeah that bug is always been there i just use the arrow key and highlight the sound file on the content browser and press the arrow key on the BP
