Far Cry 6 Esperanza city environment

Hello, I’m excited to kick-off a Far Cry 6 inspired tropical island environment as a first environment to work on this year as part of my last year of masters in videogames art.
It has a Latin American infrastructure with colorful buildings and vibrant street props.
The overall look and feel will be sunny and warm.
More progress will be published weekly!

The idea is to create a vibrant street with Cuban inspired buildings combined with tropical feel.

This is first blocking of the environment , it’s a city center square, there will be greenery and palms around as well.

Hello,

I’m slowly progressing in the environment so I started with the pillars and few details of the building, like the doors and the walls.

I’m currently focusing on the blocking only, the materials and colors will be updated afterwards.

I also adjusted the light as I want to have a sunset yellow light.

More updates to come!

Hello! I’m excited to share my progress on the environment, I picked up the pace this week on the blocking to be able to have time to work on the materials at a later stage.

Most of the modular parts of the building are done in terms of blocking , only few parts are still work in progress. I wanted to structure the space to understand the amount of props required to make the space packed and lively.

Some building are missing the ground floor base where I will be adding more modular ‘‘shops’’ parts with various variations. I wanted to make sure the window and doors of the buildings are not all the same some are open and some are closed, just to make it as realistic as possible with many variations as per the game & reality.

I added greenery to give a tropical/island look.

Currently I will be finalizing the buildings’ details then I start modeling props like benches, chairs, tables, umbrellas, bins for this week.

Materials are not the final ones.

See you next week with a new update!

Hello! for this week, I progressed in making the environment busier with streetlight, modeled more pillars, polished the designs and added sun shades props, benches & tables with some street decorations.

I progressed on the center of the square as well by adding a fountain.
I’m currently working on the hero asset which is a classic cuban car, I will sharing updates on this in the next post!

Hello,

This week, I’ve been focusing on my hero prop which a classic cuban car. I have modeled it and completed the LP and HP to start texturing it.

In the meantime, I added mountains in the background of the environment to make it look more realistic.

Next is texturing the car and starting working on the materials of the building and the floor.
