As of Monday next week, I’m going to be working on a new marketplace architectural pack. My goal is to create something in a fantasy universe; it is something I absolutely love and feel passionned about, so really it’s a no-brainer. To this end, I’ve been wondering what would be viable in term of project; are people globally interested in fantasy itself, or do they have something more specific in mind.
I’ve been scouting ArtStation to gather inspiration and came up with four distinct categories: Dwarven, Elven, Orchish and Medieval. Please take note that the pictures I’m going to show you does not belong to me - nor will the final product looks like it. They are there only to give a feel of what could be done with said packs - basically, the atmosphere and general look.
Without further ado, lets get started:
Dwarven - Stone-carved environment, celtic/mayan in spirit:
Elven - LOTRish, with great structures and refined look, almost magical:
Orcish - Savage, amerindian, lots of bare materials and improvised structures:
Medieval - Your classical medieval structures:
I initially planned to work on Dwarven first, but it came obvious soon enough to me that there were many possibilities out there for fantasy universes, so I thought I’d gauge the general interest in said packs.
Which ones would you be interested in and which ones would you rather not see on the marketplace? If possible, it would be great if you could make a reply with your overall favorite, too!
A huge thank you to everyone who takes the time to help me in this endeavor. Hopefully, this will also serve you in the future.
Poll is up!
