Falling in Reverse - Prequel - Scene done inside Unreal Engine 5.5 with no Post

Hey Guys, first time posting here. I’m not sure if this is the right place for this.

I set out to recreate a scene inspired by Jensen Noen’s direction in Falling in Reverse – “Prequel”, focusing on a massive army shot, fully procedural and rendered straight out of Unreal Engine 5.5, with zero AI or Post involved.

I used PCG (Procedural Content Generation) to spawn animated static meshes, utilizing baked animations in animated textures to bring them to life efficiently.

Workflow & Tools Used:
PCG for massive army spawning (animated static meshes)
Ultra Dynamic Sky + EasyFog for lighting & art-directed atmosphere
GreyscaleGorilla Studio Connect 5.5 (Beta) for Materials and some models
Fab + Mixamo for assets & idle animations
Cinema 4D & Blender for additional 3D work
ACES color pipeline for accurate color management

A big shoutout to @trashPraxis, @CodeLikeMe, and @TheDarkestAgeUnreal for the inspiration, tools, and deep insights that made this possible.

I’ll be more than happy to hear your comments on how to improve my craft.

Hi there @LoopContent,

Welcome to the Unreal Engine forums! So nice to see a new face around here

This felt so incredibly awesome to watch. I just kept wanting the video to be longer. I expected to suddenly see some great battle scene. Every element from the music to the movement animation felt cinematic and so darn cool.

Do you currently have plans to make a short film out of this?

Hi @PresumptivePanda, thank you for your words; this is just a study. I reference a frame from the music video Prequel from Falling in Reverse. This is not my IP; I grab a frame and try to match the concept as much as possible.

Ooooh I see. Forgive my uncultured-ness :joy: Hope you create more of these. I’d love to see more of your work

Yeah like @PresumptivePanda my only criticism is that I wanted it to be longer  good job, good choice of music
