Fake Camera Location for LOD?

Disclaimer that this is likely a total beginner question, but I am using UE5 for cinematic renders and am using a 100mm focal length camera in combination with a very graphics intensive plugin called Ocean System for Rendered Cinematics.

Since my camera is far away from my subject, the LOD of the ocean near my subject drops off according to the LOD settings. I could crank the LOD settings to make a larger area of high quality ocean, but that quickly nukes my PC.

I am wondering if there is a way to fake the camera location to be close to my subject that I’m filming so that the ocean will have nice detail in frame instead of below my camera which is out of frame.

Perhaps I’m thinking about this the wrong way so any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a copy of OSRC, but not on this machine right now.

I can’t recall what it uses to judge where the detail should be. It might be the camera or the player. If it takes the player as a prioity, you can just plop a player somewhere, and then use F8 to move the camera.

I seem to recall there’s also quite a lot of detail about this in the docs.

Nice scene BTW
