Fortnite has been clear on their policies about buying old battle passes, but I believe there’s a fair work around. I see the issue of if anyone could buy any battle pass there would be major problems. I think a fair solution to this problem is that if your account was active during a season then you could purchase that seasons battle pass. For example, if an account was active during an older season like chapter 2 season 4, but the account didn’t purchase the battle pass during that season. There could be a separate tab in the passes section to be able to purchase old battle passes the account was active and made during. To keep it fair, bonus styles to skins in battle passes or anything in bonus sections could be kept exclusive to if you had purchased the battle pass in that season.
The reason I propose this is many people may not have had funds during past seasons they played. Good examples are younger players who couldn’t have access to money and therefore couldn’t have purchased the battle pass, or if you simply didn’t play enough that season and missed out.
Another way to keep this system more fair is that it could be increased in price to buy older battle passes, example would be instead of 800 v-bucks it could be around 2,000.
(Bonus for item shops) now I agree less with being able to purchase items from older item shops with the same features as I suggested for OG battle passes, but it could still be an option
summary:
A separate tab for purchasing battle passes from seasons you’ve played
Increase from if you had bought it when it first came out
Keeping bonus sections exclusive to those who bought them during said seasons
And possibly similar features being used in the item shop for older items.
The whole purpose of this suggestion is to make battle passes less exclusive since not everyone may have had funds to purchase battle passes while they were happening.
