Hi everyone. So I want to import Hello Neighbor Alpha 2 assets: BP_objects, meshes etc. into Hello Neighbor mod kit. In Youtube I find tutorial on how to extract .pak files. Then I extract them in this folder. But when I open Hello neighbor mod kit it’s doesnt show assets while they in foider. And next I try drag and drop directly into Hello Neighbor mod kit folder content and I got this message.
I don’t know anything about modding, but generally if a .uasset is in the right place on disk and doesn’t appear in the Editor that means it was created with a newer version of the editor. So make sure you’re using an engine version that is the same version or newer than what you’re trying to import.
And .uassets cannot be “imported” like an FBX. You would just put them in the right folder using Windows Explorer like you initially did.
Did you mean extract pak file directly into Content folder?
Is there no documentation for that mod kit?
I don’t know much about modding or extracting Pak files, but uassets need to be placed into your project at the exact folder location as it was originally created in the original project. If it’s in the same spot and made with the same or older engine version, it should appear. If it doesn’t, it could come down to encryption or something specific to that project and I won’t be of much help.
