It happened suddenly on the depthmap grouping process.
The project folder is on a separate SSD and the temp folder is on a different HD.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Manuel.

Hi Manuel
if the CACHE is on a separate drive and there is ENOUGH space there, then it will look for some file system issues, it probably cannot access the folder because of access rights.
I recommend you to restart the PC and just run the reconstruction again ( depth maps are saved in the CACHE ) so it wil continue to calculate the model
Thank you for your reply
Its strange though, the folder doesn’t have any special “access rights” restrictions… I’ve just checked the folder properties and they are fine…
Should I click on something in order to reuse the older cache files for the reconstruction?
Hi Manuel
no need to, just click on RECONSTRUCTION ( same reconstruction level as used before - NORMAL or HIGH )
Hmm apparently its writing new cache files and it is not using the old ones…
16:30 is my current time right now and it is creating new cache files (16:30) as you can see on the screenshot. The old ones are from 1 day ago at 6:00 in the morning.
Hi Manuel
if the cache location was set to the same location and it calculated the DEPTH maps AGAIN, then it looks like data corruption on the drive…
Hello Wishgranter:
The high detail process failed once again, I suposse its JUST when the depth map process ends and the depthmap grouping starts.
Error: Access denied PD: I’ve checked the permissions on Windows and specially in the temp folder, they are all right…
The curious case is that the error doesn’t show when I process the very same data on Normal detail. It happens just with High Detail which is indeed very strange…

Once the processing failed I restarted the computer, opened CR again, clicked on High detail again (so as to reuse the cache) and a “Unknown error” appears…

Any ideas? Im desperate since this is a very important project!
Best,
Manuel.
Hi Manuel
very curious issue… are you running it from ADMINISTRATOR profile?
Change also the RC to run as “administrator” like in the screenshot here. Right-click on the RC icon -> COMPATIBILITY -> RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
Yes I am the only user & administrator of the system. All permisions are set on “full control” I’ll try what you suggest though.
Anyway i’ve overcome the issue of “unknown error” by closing the CR application, opening it again and running the process again. It works now.
Hi Manuel
and it starts to calculate the DEPTH maps again or it just continues?
It continues
