Facial hair rotated or mislocated in my metahuman (UE5.6)

I created this character with the new metahuman interface in UE5.6:

But after clicking ‘assemble’ and dragging the resulted metahuman to my scene, I got this:

Not quite the outcome I was hoping for.

Looking at the panels I can see that the eyebrows and beard have been created and are present -

but my feeling is, especially looking at the weirdness of the eyebrows, that they are located within the head mesh, or rotated incorrectly or something.

I tried to fix it, but they seem to be glued to their position and I can’t move them.

I couldn’t find anything online about this issue. Anyone has any ideas?

Thanks!

Can you provide a few more details on how you created this character?

  • Have you used any of the conforming tools? If yes which one?
  • What assembling options are you using? Cinematic or Optimized?

Ok, that’s weird. I originally assembled it using Cinematic.
But now after deleting that version and assembling it again in Optimized (high) - the facial hair is in the right place!

So… avoid cinematic assembly? :man_shrugging:

Anyway, he looks good now, so I’m happy.

Thanks!

Well not really, it depends on what are your requirements in terms of budged for the level you are going to use the character.

I was asking about how you created the character because I couldn’t reproduce this issue on my end even assembling the Cine version, but I’m glad its working now
