After releasing my “Morphing female” asset (you can find it in characters section of marcetplace), I decide to go further… Now I am going to create complete system for customization and animation for the character’s face. For now I stop my choice in Faceware technology. Pros - possibilities to create facial animation with any camera, contras - their prices are pretty expensive for indie developers. If anybody can suggest something else - please do not hesitate to let me know. As for technical details - there will b animation driven by bones and blendshapes.

To start with, there are some limitations to do such things… First - you need model to work with it, and that model must be tuned for receive animations of course. Facial rig is pretty separated part of body animation (perhaps you want some kind of cyborg with human-like face) - so I decide to split my mesh into two different pieces (but do not forget that them must match topologicaly each other). So, I think about female head for now with pretty much capabilities to morphing(Think about Сharlize Theron or Kate Beckinsale or just somebody else) driven by Faceware solution… As for price of their technology - I think that smooth indie developer can make game in one month
