Facial Anim Montage does not play on MetaHuman AGLS Character

Testing on a simple “Blink” Anim Montage.


I have set up an Event “Blink” where I play Anim Montage via “Play Montage”. For the “In Skeletal Mesh Component” I dragged MetaHuman “Face” variable. For the “Face” Anim Class the “Face_AnimBP” is set.

In the “Face_AnimBP” I’ve detached all unnecessary for me stuff like LiveLink, mouth and teeth controls and ARKit Head Rotation.
In order to get anim montage to work I know the slot must be blended. So I’ve done this and rechecked if the “layered blend per bode” has “FACIAL_C_FacialRoot” in Layer Setup.

Despite all these actions the anim montage do not play. To debug I have a print string on Interrupted “Blink interrupted” which is appearing constantly.

Would be so thankful for any thoughts and ideas on it!

I’ve figured it out.
The problem was that my character’s “Face” mesh was also connected in the Construction Script to “Set Leader Pose Component” node. It is mentioned in the tutorial, I just forget to delete this connection as I connected my MetaHuman to AGLS character in slightly different way earlier before seen this tut.
