Faceware as plugin, or part of the engine... or for external 3d applications???

Hi,

Quick question
I just stumbled upon an article that was published today about Unreal Engine 4 motion capturing for facial animations…

See here: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Unreal-Engine-4-Middleware-erfasst-Gesichtsanimationen-per-Webcam-2778283.html
(german)

Im a bit confused now…
Will this be a plugin for recording animations in external applications (maya, max, etc). Or will this be an itegral part of UE4 ?
Just wondering how this all sticks together…

Cheers,
Klaus

It’s something that can be integrated with UE4 so that you can do live motion capture in-game. However, it would not be a plugin, you would have to download the Nvidia branch of UE4 just like the other Gameworks stuff. Once they offer it.
