Faceless is an independent multiplayer horror game on the Unreal Engine 4 where up to 4 players must enter Wakeland City to search for Daniel North, as well as carry out his plan to set all the trapped souls free. These souls are trapped inside Dolls scattered around various places in the city, and they are the food of the game’s monster; the Soulrender. The game contains some voice talent from recognisable names, including Daz Black (Vine, YouTube), Danielle McRae (League of Legends, Nightmare House 2) and most notably Sam A. Mowry (Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Doorways.)
The game will have eight maps, four large and four small. The large renovated maps will contain story-related elements for players to interact with as they search for Dolls and attempt to survive. These story-related elements include digital recordings, bodybags and VHS tapes. The digital recordings will have information from Daniel North and Elijah Grey (Sam A. Mowry) - The bodybags, when interacted with, will allow the player to hear the deceased’s last thoughts. The VHS tapes contain distorted imagery that can be accessed through an extras menu/map. The small abandoned maps will include bodybags, but are not related to the main storyline and serve as an option for people who want to have a quicker game.
There will also be one short single-player campaign where you play as Elijah Grey as he embarks on his own search for Daniel North in the Fallen Grace Asylum, a lifeless place where the Soulrender is believed to reside in.
