Fab UI is BAD, Sketchfab does it so much better for 3D models

When it comes to finding and viewing 3D models, FAB does it worse than Sketchfab.

Maybe it’s because the gallery takes up 75% of the screen space while Sketchfab takes up 100%. Maybe it’s because you can’t see related models when you view the models like in Sketchfab. Maybe it’s because they got rid of comments, or they moved the User profile picture to the right instead of just below the model viewer. Or maybe it is the obvious clutter on the homepage that makes it difficult to navigate, making it a huge turn off for first time buyers.

Or maybe it’s all bad and FAB needs to redesign their whole UI. The entire website feels anti consumer compared to the old marketplace and sketchfab.

Yes I sound grumpy because I lost revenue likely due to these reasons. UI plays a big role in helping users find what they are looking and it largely affects the willingness for a customer to spend money.

You’re not alone in thinking this.
There seems to be many things people are unhappy about, including after posting about their problems, complaints, etc…not getting much feed back from the staff on here, about it.
I haven’t experienced that…
…but even though I’ve had staff post feedback about my two main complaints, it seems little is done.

My two complaints being the 3D viewer and how it doesn’t show the true wireframe, and the search function, which is a bit rubbish, and that’s being polite!
