FAB sellers selling ripped game models from popular games. Why is this allowed?

What’s up with the lack of moderation? There are stores entirely populated with ripped outfits from AAA titles like this Leon S. Kennedy’s RPD uniform from RE 4 Remake:

The original:

His intro outfit from the beginning of the game:

Or this FSB uniform from CoD Modern Warfare 2019:

And there’s currently no way to report copyright infringement without being the copyright holder or operating on IP holder’s behalf. Unsuspecting customers buy these ripped outfits which hurts both the asset creators (less sales) and the customers.

Hey there @GritForm3D! Those folds definitely seem like the models were ripped and cleaned up. I will see if I can notify the appropriate team. While the DMCA report option does require you to be the IP holder, you can still report the assets for breaking the terms of use in the meantime.

I think this character won’t last very long in the store, I think it will be possible to send a request to the company where he got it from

Yep. This seller should be perma banned from Fab, raw violation, this model is cleary ripped.

As I suspected, it’s been over a week now and that seller is still listing ripped outfits (simply flipped in x axis and called something else) from popular game characters.

The latest one is James Sunderland’s outfit from Silent Hill 2 Remake:

The original:

I guess there’s really no point in reporting ripped assets since absolutely nothing is being done about it.

Ripper still ripping. A simple Google reverse image search shows the original copyrighted content. Epic?

Original character’s clothes is Kurt Hansen’s from Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty:

This outfit is from Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis:
