Fab Seller Overview - Performance numbers bugged ?

Summary

Hello,

I am a seller on Fab and have seen a big difference between the number of sales of my assets vs number of downloads (in the publish > reports > performance overview), is it normal ? Are several downloads by the same person counting in this ? Because for a particular asset (not free) I have like 5 times more downloads than actual purchases and that seems a bit odd.

Steps to Reproduce

Go to publish > reports > performance overview and compare the number of downloads and sales over this year.

Expected Result

I would prefer to have the number of downloads counting only as one for one costumer even if (s)he download it several times.

Observed Result

Much higher number of downloads than actual sales.

The download counter are downloads, both new or updates. If one user installs multiple times, or updates the plugin then all those seem to count towards the metric.

I have been seeing the same thing for my plugin.
I released it less than a month ago- the reports show two sales (one of them is me, for testing) but in the overview it shows 69 downloads across 15 different countries.

Now, what are the odds that the other sale downloaded 68 times and that to from different countries… Cuz I know I didn’t.
