Fab review team is very inconsistent

I have recently uploaded a Car Rims pack for unity, and I did include all the detailed needed but I forgot to enter the info about the model inside the unity tab, which of course the fab team sent me an email telling me that: I haven’t entered enough details & didn’t name the root folder to my creator name, everything else seemed alright (pass) and after fixing the issue and re uploading the package again I get another email saying that I failed the Maps section saying “The demo map has no assets displayed” even though I am 100% sure there IS assets displayed and also the package passing the requirement in the previous email, so what is going on?

(Edit) I have just checked my Package again, and all the models are in the scene with no issues.

I guess there are humans behind the review process. One noticed an issue, the other didn’t. One could open your map, the other couldn’t. If you are 100% sure you meet all the criteria and your asset works perfectly, you could try to send it again for review in the hopes that another person will review it.

Generally yes, Fab review team is very inconsistent and needs major improvements because there are a lot of broken, low quality, ripped, no documentation assets released regularly.

i think some are beginners cause they asking weird things sometime that will destroy the project.
Or ask you to remove unused assets when they are character animation that are used…
Every time i send a asset i have things like that or they ask you to use option that dont exist.

You have to work with it and hope it will be better with time.

A similar incident happened today.
Wrote that all animations need to be renamed. When the asset doesn’t have a single one. And this is a package of effects.
Only later did I realize that his requirements arose for the demo folder in which the untouched demo of Unreal Engine is located.
And this happens all the time. Sometimes they ask - remove the textures that you left for customization and convenience of buyers.
Or other claims that they can put only to those who created the Template of the Game from the third person. Since it is for demonstration.

They definitely need a standard because one of my assets got approved without them even testing the functionality multiple times, that being said in your case they might have a fail stop policy where they go down a list of tasks and if one fails the entire testing stops, this is something Apple does.

I’m pretty sure they outsource it to a third party labor company. One time they sent me a screenshot of a error and the editor was all in a language from Europe and I’m pretty sure epic games is all US based.

In my case, their employee is just making fun of me.
Repeated demand to delete texture files that are left for customization. And also demands to rename files that are created by Epic themselves and are in the demo folder.
There are not enough problems with sales in FAB, and somewhere they have hired completely incompetent employees who have never even seen their own rules for publication.
And apparently unable to distinguish content created by Epic from other content. And this started quite recently, this is not the first time when they want changes in their own files that the Epic company called so. Although there were no changes in the publication rules.

it’s just a script. It’s a bot checking it.
Just follow the errors. I passed on the 10th time.

I can´t confirm it´s a dump bot alone, FAB stated lastly very clear that reviewing is done by humans. It would explain the inconsistency of approving since one “believes to know” it´s ok to approve it and one another “believes to know” it´s not ok.

We can twist and turn it how we like there is no logic and rationality behind what´s approved when reviewed and what not. Already made my own relevant experience with this.

i think there is a team in europe.

Yes, they ask a lot to modify their own models/template.
As if they didn’t follow their own procedure to create them.
