FAB Plugin Installation Issue (IS-0009)

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a simple workaround that helped in this case, and hopefully it may help others experiencing a similar issue as well.

Error Case

→ Epic Games Launcher > Unreal Engine tab > Fab Library > Install to Engine

Workaround

→ In this error state, completely restart the Epic Games Launcher, then install the plugin from:

Epic Games Launcher > Fab tab > Plugins > Install Plugin

Hello, why does this plugin appear in the game’s quick launch bar? Also, why does it prompt me to update but nothing happens when I click it?

Thank you for the report and the screenshot.

It seems this started appearing after a recent plugin listing/description update. In some cases, the Epic Games Launcher may temporarily cache or re-index the plugin metadata incorrectly, which can cause the plugin to appear in Quick Launch or show an unresponsive update prompt.

At the moment, this appears to be only a launcher UI issue and should not affect the plugin functionality itself.

We’re monitoring it, and it will likely resolve automatically with a future launcher refresh or plugin update.
