Hi, i dont get it the new licenses descriptions.
Easy question - yes or not.
License terms,Standard License
Is this royality free? can i use it in game projects for commercial purpose like old royality free or not?

In short, answer to your question is Yes,

But always keep this in mind-

Personal License is for Individual/Company who is earning less the 100K UDS / year at the time of Purchase, and yes it can be used Commercially.

Professional License on the other hand is for Individuals/Company earning more then 100K / year

These are Classification of Standard License (Personal and Professional Tier)

And btw.
100K UDS / year at the time of Purchase?
What its mean exactly ? i.e. i buy now products with personal license and next years i will start my business and sell games and maybe earn sometime about 100K UDS / year.

  1. Must i change the license of the old buyed products?
  2. And what its mean 100K UDS / year? Its 100K UDS gross or net ?

Here is what Epic Documentation say about Standard License-

The Standard license type has the following price tiers: Personal and Professional.

The Personal tier may include a Reference Only version for Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) content. This version provides access to a UEFN asset through its Verse path.

Publishers must offer their products under the Personal tier and the Professional tier. They can set the same price for both tiers, or different prices for each tier.

Buyers must choose the appropriate price tier, based on their revenue in the last 12 months, as follows:

  • Personal: For buyers who have not generated more than $100,000 USD in gross revenue from commercial activity in the last 12 months.
  • Professional: For buyers who have generated more than $100,000 USD in gross revenue from commercial activity in the last 12 months.

I saw that, but not all of them can be choosed. Is only standart lincense witout other options…

btw. i dislike those options, epic store was better, i will not buy with the “new” (artstation) conditions. Stressfree for the future…

Since they are Free so it doesn’t matter Pro or Personal.

Also as I said in previous response that Pro and Personal are Classification of Standard License
