Fab is holding my hard-earned payouts for 3 months using absurd moderation excuses

Hi everyone,

I need to bring light to how Fab is treating creators and holding their money for months under completely made-up reasons.

I have honestly earned my payouts, which have already been cleared for May and June. Instead of paying me out, support keeps sending me generic copy-pasted templates about a “discontinuation period” and “payout reviews at the end of the month.” Now it looks like they want to hold my money for the entirety of July as well. That is 3 months of Fab interest-free using my money.

The worst part is the reason for this “review”. Their moderation team flagged one of my models as 18+ (Adult Content). The model is a fully clothed 3D character! There is absolutely nothing adult, explicit, or against the Guidelines there. It feels like a deliberate, fabricated excuse just to freeze the account and delay payouts.

Has anyone else experienced this level of absurd moderation and delayed payouts? It is completely unacceptable for a platform of this scale to use such tactics against the community that builds it.

If you are NOT getting money via Hyperwallet so in June you should have received what you’ve earned during April. Usually it’s around 15th day of a month. So it’s NOT yet time to get what you’ve earned in MAY. But maybe I misunderstood you.
Also me and many other people didn’t get our payment this month. The money we’ve earned in April I mean. The payment just didn’t come.

Yes, a whole month without payments and the company’s offices go on vacation.
Today was the last day of the month, the saddest thing here is that the support will not be able to help in any way, they are waiting for a response from the financial team.
Even sadder is that in April there was a delay, which was at least reported by a message on the forum. And even considering the delay, the money was credited to the bank account on the last day of the month.
Now people have simply been left without feedback, and there is a chance that they will have to wait until mid-July to get at least some information.

Update: offline payments are pending legal review and the company, for its part, cannot influence this in any way, we can only wait…

Thanks for clarifying the timeline! The problem is, I haven’t received my April earnings either, and support explicitly replied to me mentioning a ‘discontinuation period’ and ‘payout reviews’ instead of just processing the payment. To make it worse, they used a completely absurd moderation flag (marking a fully clothed 3D character as 18+) as an excuse to hold the account review. It seems like they are experiencing a massive payment failure this month and are just throwing automated excuses at us to buy time

This is just mind-blowing. Leaving thousands of creators without their hard-earned money for months and then just locking the office door to go on vacation without a single official announcement? It’s pure disrespect. The fact that support is completely helpless and just waiting on a ghost ‘financial team’ shows how broken the system is. We are not asking for a favor, we are asking for the money we already earned. Leaving us in the dark until mid-July is unacceptable

Blaming a ‘legal review’ and pretending the company has no control over it is the ultimate corporate cop-out. They ARE the company. They set these rules and systems. Using ‘legal reviews’ as a blanket excuse while going on vacation and leaving creators broke is just cynical. In my case, they triggered this ‘review’ by flagging a completely clothed 3D model as 18+ — it’s deeply broken automation combined with zero human oversight. We are the ones paying the price for their internal mess

Yes, responses from support on financial issues often take a week, sometimes even two. I think there’s a lot of bureaucracy and reporting involved there.

So far, the only thing I’ve managed to find out from support is that offline payments (those outside of Hyperwallet) go through a legal verification process. Before that, their status was basically unknown.

It’s strange that Steam developers received their payments exactly on time and no additional checks were applied to them.
