FAB discovery and search is not working as expected. My sales are sinking because of this.

I tried searching for my plugin by just writing common words. My plugin is Utility AI related so I tried generic words like AI and they don’t even give out AI results but I get Airbus planes, Aircon units, etc. What kind of search is this? My plugin is pretty low on the list for anyone looking for AI related tools.

It seems now I’m competing with whatever is coming out of Sketchfab in what previously was an Unreal Engine marketplace where you could more or less find what you want, even if it was not the ideal search engine, but at least it wouldn’t show me completely unrelated assets.

This plus the uncertainty of buyers because the review system is non-existent is greatly affecting my sales as they went down to 0 while before I would sell some regularly.

Is this just me or does anyone noticed this too?

I think I don’t need to reiterate on this but some of us make some or all our living from selling here so this is extremely frustrating. If FAB wasn’t ready, why launch it like this? Why not keep the old marketplace until things are sorted out?

Try searching ‘rock’ - search just doesn’t work. (edit, it gives you rocking chair, cant make it up!)

Everything being in 1 giant pool, at the mercy of search and filters is mental.

No sales since 22 October , i have lost visibility as well. UE marketplace was very good at showing relevant result.

The minimum salary in my country is around 240usd so a few hundred dollar per month mean a lot to me.

My last client told me he gave me a 5 star rating but nothing showed up due to epic rules of minimum show star count… , one of the many thing confusing everyone.

I don’t get why they didnt just wait a couple months or years before launching Fab, what that would have cost them.

@AZAWESTIE yeah, that rock search just makes absolutely no sense. How can you even search for actual rocks then?

@Arodi007 interesting, that’s about when they stopped for me too.

Literally. You would have to search Quixel, then click the logo on something that comes up, then search for rock in their portal, ignoring all other sellers of rock scans.

And it’s sometimes even worse with complex searches as it seems to treat each word as a separate thing and not part of a single search.
