Quick question: Will there be plans on Epic actually curating the marketplace? Because me and an few other people are looking for content that can be commercially used and it’s kind of hard to do so when there’s dozens of assets that’ll probably render us vulnerable to copyright infringement if we actually used them in our projects
Wondering the same. FAB is unusable until this is resolved. All of the other complaints (no open-text review system, no wishlist, infinite scrolling, no new listings on front page, etc.) are all inconveniences but nothing that represents a genuine risk or threat. The above-linked issue is a serious problem that makes FAB a liability for commercial use.
When the ArtStation Digital Marketplace merges with Fab in 2025, what will happen to previous purchases? The initial FAQ from over a year ago stated that past purchases would be stored in an archive for users to download their content. This approach is inadequate. What happens to products we’ve purchased that continue to receive downloadable updates, such as plug-ins? The term “archive” suggests a static repository, lacking the infrastructure for sellers to provide ongoing updates for buyers. Are there plans to ensure that products purchased on ArtStation will be marked as purchased when sellers transition those products to Fab?
Well, here’s the roadmap. As you can see, one might say that they’re prioritizing the wrong things. But at least they’re including nearly everything of what people has been asking for (which was acknowledged, early on)
But I don’t see anything related to improving moderation on there (might be addressed in the livestream). And what is concerning is that they’re planning to expand to Roblox, of all things.
If I’m not wrong, they said that there are tools for users to report items on the marketplace. Not only does it seem like they are exempting themselves from this situation, but I think this is not true in most cases. From what I know, only the content owner can request the item to be removed from the store. Am I missing something here?
Why is the customer service so absolutely abysmal? I’ve been locked out of Quixel assets for a month now and it’s seriously affecting my work. I’ve written to FAB support twice with no reply and I’ve been asking again and again on this forum for someone to look into this and give me a proper reply other than a generic “we’ll looking into this” or “please write to FAB support”, but all I’ve gotten is silence and useless replies. I’m not blaming any individual customer service staff as FAB seems to be profoundly understaffed. FAB leadership should be blamed.
You’re not, considering how the option to report IP infringement redirects to this form. Which is an pretty good incentive for the average person to don’t get involved and to blacklist the creator to avoid supporting these type of sales
