Fab Address verification Failed

Summary

Hi everyone, hope your doing well, so I was registering in fab and added my ID and everything and it was verified but then it got me address not verified, and I keep clicking the link to verify it, but it redirects me back to home page, and in trader verify, it’s giving me address unverified as photo mentions, but when I skip and go to TAX interview, it’s giving me it can’t continue and I think it’s because the address thing, so what shall I do now? Thanks in advance

Hi @MarwanWElzeiny . For the moment, you just need to wait. You should receive an email in the next few days that prompts you to upload your address documents.

Hi @skfabby Thank you so much for your answer, I got the email already, but unfortuantley everytime i click on the link it directs me back to FAB home page, and i tried to click like a lot of times, and check back fab to see if anything updated, but same thing for the past week

I think they dont want to verify our addresses on purpose.
I’ve sent two different types of documents which are they wanted from us and just got mail its failed again…

What you guys want from us ? Just tell us directly that “we dont want you to sell your product in our market” and I’ll be ok with that.

Its just too much hypocrisy and unprofessionalism.
You guys are just screwed so bad and I’m so angry because traders lost so much money because of this.

Hi @skfabby , i got the same issue, so i assume now i have to wait few days to be able to upload the document,right? then wait more days to get verified, the problem is 17 march is near, and i see many people still not yet verified and its not our fault that it takes so much waiting, so i think its fair if we get more deadline extension, maybe 2 more month. i wish that posible. thanks

@skfabby This is completely unacceptable. You sent a reminder email urging us to complete address verification by a deadline without having a proper verification process in place. Even after extending the deadline by a week, we still couldn’t complete the initial verification round. There’s been no progress updates, no guidance—just endless waiting. With the deadline tomorrow, most people still haven’t received their verification results. What will you do about this?

My Address Verification has failed.
This is despite providing an official tax document as request, and being given no reason why this failed.

I’m happy to provide a bank statement instead/additionally, and followed the link to do so.
However upload page has not been reset, and there is no where to upload.

Please be aware the waiting between suck steps has been up to 3weeks at the longest.
I understand time has now run out, and further waiting means the lose of sales in Europe

I understand this note your, or other supports fault on an individual level.
However, please understand what is happening to developers and please share our stories to those higher up who may be able to help?

I have also provided an official tax document as requested. the official language of my country is Spanish.

I have a similar story, I already sent a bank statement once. I never waited for verification. Today I received that I did not pass verification and I need to upload it again.

And I send an official statement, how can it not be suitable? Or who is responsible for verification? I specifically order a statement in English, but your “geniuses” still manage not to find the address.

I sent them three types of documents (tax and utility bills) with the same address, and nothing was accepted. I do not know what else they need. I guess I just need to change my status to a Non-Trader.

I had send them the offical goverment tax document
Registro unico del contribuyente ruc -Single Taxpayer Registry (RUC)
It is a offical document but still unsucessful.i don t know why.
And just wanted to said. We have glad to follow the fab Request.but just dont know why and what wrong ..everytime unsuccessful without reason…

I’ve sent the documents that they want and 4th times I rejected. I dont know why there is no explanation or a reason about declining the documents and I’ve sent bank statement as they want.

Atleast tell us what is wrong about the process!

I had send 5 times .3 times with my bank statment .and 2 times goverment tax docement "registro unico del contribuyente "taxplayer registry. It is a official docunment form government tax department but still unsucessful

I also took a printout from the state system, including my own name on behalf of the fab institution from the civil registry office, which is the most secure and highest level official document that can be taken from this country, but they still did not accept it. And the funny thing about that document has qr code and barcore with serial number to question the veracity of the document.

I smell something shady about that situation.

Or, Maybe We need option to change it to non-trader if the bills we are sending not working..

I can share a bit more context here -

When you first sign up for Fab, there is a standard identity and address verification process that relies on certain types of documents (passport, ID card, driver’s license, resident permit).

In the event that we cannot successfully verify your address using the document that you provided, we invite you to go through a secondary address verification, which relies on a different set of documents (utility bill, bank/credit card, official tax document). This process takes a bit more work for our third-party vendor Trolley, and as a result, it takes longer than the standard process.

If you have submitted your documents and have not yet heard back, please wait for us to email you with a response and any next steps. This can take 5-10 business days.

If you have submitted your documents and received an email telling you that address verification failed because your documents were invalid, please check that any document you submit next satisfies each of the three necessary criteria listed below:

  1. Issued within the past 12 months
  2. One of the approved document types:
  • Utility bill (e.g., gas, electric, internet, water)
  • Bank or credit card statement
  • Official tax document issued by the government (this cannot be self-issued, e.g., 1099 or W9)
  1. Displays the same name and address that you provided when you signed up for Fab. Your document has to state your name in the same script that you used when you signed up for Fab, i.e., if the name you provided to Fab at signup was written in Latin characters, the document you use for verification should show your name in Latin characters. If your document uses a different script than the name you provided when signing up for Fab, please contact support to reset your trader information so that you can restart the process.

If you have any questions about the status of your address verification, including why a document may have been rejected, please contact support.

Hi Abby,

It has been over a month since I received a trader warning, and my status still shows “Please wait”. I have received two prompt emails explaining why my verification failed, but when I check my publisher profile, the status remains “Please wait”.

I contacted the support team about this issue, but their response only included a list of documents for address verification. The problem is that I am unable to upload any documents as my status gets stuck. Could you please take a look at my account and see what is going on? or does it still take time to resolve this? Thank you.

@skfabby just repeating what is written in the email everyone got doesn’t change the fact that we are receiving failed verification again and again for no freakin reason. You have to do something with your “3rd party partner” because losing an ability to sell in EU just because that 3rd party does not give a ■■■■ about really checking the documents everyone is sending, is just so stupid. I personally got failures with 4 different documents in English, each clearly showing my address. Also contacted Fab support 3 times, one of which I just got ignored. It really ■■■■■■ me off and I honestly don’t know how to deal with this issue
