Extremely long compile times

I have set up a studio scene for android, but seem to be getting extremely long compile times when I open the scene up.

Wondered if anyone else has encountered this and what the reasons could be? The scene is actually pretty small. So far it’s taken two hours on a decent spec laptop.

Could having forward shading selected be anything to do with it?

Sorry - also meant to add that even making a change to a simple material now forces the scene to recompile which is simply taking too long compared to other projects I have produced. Don’t know if this is the nature of android development!
