Extreme Problems with Landscape in UE 5.5

Hello! I created an island landscape with the help of blueprint brushes and added some extra landmass with the help of simple sculpting tools! Everything looks perfect and nice until I go into game mode. Two are the great issues! 1. My view distance is terrible (I don’t know how to fix my view distance) and 2. The whole landscape looks as someone cut it with a knife and played around with the parts. Crazy thing: When I go back into normal mode everything looks fine! Mountains are visible, view distance is perfect and landmass has no issues. Can someone tell me why this is happening?

Greetings @LordPrutsikas!

Your scenario could have multiple causes, let’s cover them one by one:

  • Check that the proper level is loaded

  • Double-check for any sublevels are loaded

  • Ensure the landscape actor is on the proper level / sublevel

  • Confirm if the level is included in packaged project

  • In project settings, under Rendering, test changing the levels for Desired Max Draw Distance

  • During game mode, make sure Landscape is enabled in “Show”, or press ALT+L
