I’m assuming you’re asking if there is a scientific basis for the saved expressions? I doubt it. Most likely whoever created those face pose assets just tweaked parameters and saved the collection of parameters. You can see how to use those face expressions here.
I’m not affiliated w/ Metahumans in any way. This is just an educated guess based on my experience with rigging and animation.
