Exposed variables of child actor in another blueprint actor

Hello again,

I have created a lightswitch actor which has an exposed point light variable I wish to use when using the actor inside another actor as a child actor.
Now I’ve been googling and appearantly there a few posts about this that all seem to lead to a feature request that seems to be implemented in the new 4.14

Now problem is I can’t port my entire project to 4.14 for only this and even if i could I’m too affraid of stability issues knowing that 4.14 is still very new.
In time I will most likely port it to 4.14 anyway, since I’m interested in the auto-LOD generating tools that it has.

But does anyone know of a way i would be able to work around this in 4.13?
