When I run the map wizard and add contours, everything looks great. However, when I export the dxf to Autocad, none of the text with the elevation info transfers. Is there a way to export the map wizard file so the elevation text goes with it?
I am exporting them into 2D and eventually wanting to create a pdf and auto cad file. The contour lines do export, but the text with the elevations doesn’t. That text is there when I’m in RC, but it doesn’t transfer out. Is there a way or a file format that I can export where the text data remains?
nope–same thing–image attached. Do you have any suggestions? I just need a simple 2D auto cad file and pdf of the contours with elevation text but I can’t figure out how to export that info. I even considered a screen grab, but the contour lines aren’t tight enough on the screen and you have to zoom in too much for them to all show.
Hi I’m having an issue with exporting contours to dxf. In reality capture the look perfect when generated on the ortho projection, but when I export them and open them in CAD they are not stacking directly ontop of one another and appear staggered like a 3D view?
Thanks for your response, I seem to having trouble attaching the images so I’m not sure if they are displaying. I’ve attached screenshots form CAD and RC.
This is a known bug. There is created solution, but is wasn’t integrated yet.
You need to create the ortho in coordinate system with meters (like UTM) to get good DXF format. You can also try to export it as SHP, open in QGIS and then export DXF from it.
