So when I create a terrain in World Machine, in this case a mountain, it is quite steep.
However when imported into the Unreal Engine the terrain seems to flatten itself considerably, and help with this would be much appreciated.
(For some reason the upload function is not working for me so here is an Imgur link) http://imgur.com/WL1GfdO
On the left is the terrain in the Unreal Engine, on the right is the same terrain in World machine, as you can see there is a huge difference in overall height.
Thanks,
Change the Z scale under the Landscape Details.
I know I can do that, however I was wondering why it imported in such a different scale than was originally exported from World Machine, and if there was any way to import it to be the exact same scale.
you might try to adjust your levels in photoshop. You want to be using the full range of the image type your using to represent the min and max height of your terrain. if not your just reducing the resolution in the z axis. you want to see your heightmap go from white to black, and not just light grey to darker grey.
