Hi
I’m having a hard time importing my 3d model into ArcGis Pro, so that I can export it to a ArcGis online scene.
Currently the only Georeferenced 3d format they accept is GeoVRML, which is not an export option.
Otherwise they support an option to georeference an OBJ file, Collada etc with an external file with Placement Points.
(from their website)
“The point features whose coordinates define the real-world position of the input files. Each input file will be matched to its corresponding point based on the file names stored in the Symbol Field. The Coordinate System parameter should be defined to match the spatial reference of the points.”
https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/3d-analyst/import-3d-files.htm
It would be really great for all the ESRI users to be able to import Georeferenced 3d files into the software to share them with colleagues who is using the ESRI software. It works fine with the GeoTiff, both for ORTO photo and DSM, but the 3d model is a bit more problematic.
Thanks for making great software!
